Extend the life of your blades with our Premium Leather Knife and Razor Strop. Crafted from high-quality leather, this paddle strop helps maintain a smooth, sharp edge by correcting microscopic bends at the apex. These form in normal use and are one of the reasons a knife goes blunt, so correcting these as often as you can will not only keep your knife cutting well for longer, but will reduce the amount of material that needs to be removed when the knife is sharpened on stones.

Using the strop
Hold the knife by the handle and lay it flat on the leather. Raise the spine up by approximately 20 degrees (I see a lot of people holding the knife up at too steep of an angle, this will give you more noticeable results, but also dull your edge. I prefer to match the sharpening angle quite closely, and run more passes). While applying light pressure, drag the full length of the cutting edge across the length of the strop leading with the spine. Flip to the other side and repeat 5 or so times per side.
